I Have worked in Redbridge for 26 yrs now and about 17 yrs ago I used to stop and admire a silver GSI down a road (Trelawney ave) in Hainault, Essex. I told myself (I’ll have one of those one day). Fourteen yrs later I joined the Autobahnstormers, I had my 2.0 ltr Diplomat at the time when I had a chat with James Wadding ton (a club member for along time) it was him who told me I would get a GSI. Who was I to argue. So the hunt began. I looked at a few including a 2.6 ltr Diplomat but none had really got me excited, then I saw a GSI on the net, it was local, (Clayhall in Essex) so my boy and I went and had a look, as soon as I saw it I wanted it, got the price down to £1300 and I was the proud owner. When the log book came through I was gob smacked by one of the previous owners, He lived at No 68 Trelawney ave, it was the very car that I used to drool over all them years ago, talk about destiny. I was then committed to do whatever it takes to keep this GSI on the road and in top order.

Carlton GSI 24V

Welcome to my site dedicated to the ongoing restoration of my GSI, (plus a few other pages). I purchased it in June 2005 after it had been garaged for over a year. Initial thoughts where good and was well pleased with the price £1300.00. It had 1 yrs MOT and no tax.
These are the pictures of her when it was advertised.
